The rubber matting looks out of place and the Foyer and Control Center should share the same floor covering as Computer. This will make the level insanely better, especially when all other suggestions are implemented on top of it. The way the light will bounce around is exciting. This also applies to the elevator landing and steps in the Control Center, as well as the stairs leading up from the Foyer, but does not extend into the Hazard lab which should stay rubber matted, the conference room or to the Door leading up to the level 2 alcoves. The level 2 alcoves however have the same mirrored tile floor finish as well as the small section across the bridge leading to Computer.

Thinking more about this, the tiles give the appearance of weight and would look strange covering the light gantry that connects to the conference room overlooking the foyer. This surface and the surface between the two sections of stairs should be kept as they are. However I think that the conference room itself should be covered with the same tiles as this will produce a really interesting visual effect with the holographic and laptop displays.

To prevent ambiguity with previous comment, I meant that the conference room should be covered with the mirrored tiles, not the rubber ones on the gantry.

The "rubber" plate texture is less than perfect (and a replacement floor surface would not go amiss), but this is something for a level designer to consider. Myself, I like the aesthetic contrast between the areas.

That contrast you are referring too would be compounded by the proximity of the gantry to the conference room and the foyer. The mirror finished floor was recommended as it would produce a beautiful effect with reflecting the USAF hologram in the center table and holographic displays as well as the few light sources and vending machines. It's something to definitely consider and experiment with.
